Beauty is as beauty does

Look at this video...Beauty Is as Beauty Does

Now I know Esther didn't see the Mickey Mouse club but she learned the same lesson along the way.  Beauty Is as Beauty Does!

As I filled in the blanks to week 2, day 4 what I discovered about Esther was that she was a smart gal.  She was trusting.  She was careful and thoughtful.  She didn't ask for anything extra.  And she listened to her elders.

The Bible tells us on several occasions that she found favor with those around her.  How? The word doesn't tell us exactly.  But I imagine that what she learned in  her early years, when she was adopted and loved, helped her to figure out the simple beauty of kindness and caring - which is more important than simply being beautiful!

Beauty is as Beauty Does.

that really struck me too the way she just kinda conformed to her surroundings even thought the castle had to be so different. Yet it appears she hold true to herself but also is adaptable.... did that make sense?

Yeah, makes sense to me. That is why I felt Esther must have been pretty smart. She listens and learns about her surroundings and continues to be unpretentious. She's the real deal!

As usual, with God and on the putter I have gotten lost and am having trouble navigating. But here is what I have been thinking about week 2 and day 5 and actually all week. I have been thinking the attributes/ qualities of the Xerxes, Mordecai, Esther and me. So far it is interesting to think on. The king has dependence on others, powererful, reactionary, forgetful, kept records. (Had to wonder that he always a father and how he did at parenting. He had so many concubines)
Mordecai- faithful, godly, listener, protector, present, parent, trusted employed, brave, loyal
Esther- obedient, beautiful, favored, mannerly, approachable, compliant, respectful of authority. And my list will grow as the weeks grow.
But my list is different. It says worrier, unfavored, impatient. But I will continue to think about that.
Another thing that stood out for me this week is that God did things in His timing. For telling the king of his impending death Mordecai was not rewarded. But it was recorded in the king`s record, because as any official busy person must they keep a record. And perhaps the king did not have a good memory. Perhaps he could not think of a just reward at the time. But later he was reminded of that good deed and it was rewarded.
It is good to know God does not need a written book, nonetheless, has one. Only His is perfect. It has not omitted any items and the rewards come in His time. Have a great week everyone. JB
