1/3/11

Happy New Year!

Well, here we are, several days into 2011. Can't believe how fast time goes!  Wishing each of you a wonderful New Year!!

Have you made resolutions?  Have you already broken resolutions? Easy come, easy go they say ;-0

I'm looking forward to seeing how God puts the puzzle pieces together this year.  My big decision for 2011 is to trust in Him.  That is something that can be as tough for us as keeping New Years resolutions, can't it?  Sometimes we pray for God to act in our lives but have a difficult time accepting His ways and realizing that His gifts are even better than we can imagine. One of my favorite Bible verses says:
O my soul, bless God.
From head to toe, I’ll bless his holy name!
     O my soul, bless God,
     don’t forget a single blessing!
3–5     He forgives your sins—every one.
     He heals your diseases—every one.
He redeems you from hell—saves your life!
He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal.
He renews your youth—you’re always young in his presence

Peterson, Eugene H.: The Message : The Bible in Contemporary Language. Colorado Springs, Colo. : NavPress, 2002, S. Ps 103:1-5

Can't even begin to tell you how many times I've read those verses and I believe them to be true - but sometimes I lose sight of the truth when faced with earthly problems and challenges.  Sometimes I get impatient with God's timing, sometimes the enemy talks me out of believing ....

In this New Year, I hope to do better with that.  My goals (resolutions, I guess) are to read through the Bible again, listening to hear the spirit speak to my heart ... And I am going to redo a Bible study that truly impacted my life.

It would be awesome to have some of you join along on this journey! (Just click the blue words above to get started)

Many blessings,
Margie

Just took my first (kinda giant) step in faith. Email sent to the Birth Center to tell them I am no longer interested in working as many hours as I have been!
God brought me to a new path as a patient advocate and its time to believe Him for the gift, and for financial reward it will bring.

Would you join with me in prayers for HAS as we work to assist others? We are happy to give of our time and talents to those who can not afford to pay, and to offer a sliding scale for those who can't pay much... but truth is, we need clients who CAN pay and other financial sponsors to fund the most important work that God has called us to do!

Love and Blessings!
Margie

(This post is from Deb... She wasn't able to figure out the signing in to post process so sent it in an email. If anyone else has the same problem, try choosing anoyomous in the drop down, then just sign your name in the post :)

I will pray for HAS and whatever path that leads to. I remember when I finally gave notice at the grocery store, it was so scarey, since our health insurance was thru them for 16 years! I was so sick also...... in the end it all worked out, I didn't have to have the 4 surgeries, we were able to get insurance and afford it. Maybe you should contact the union's health welfare insurance programs and make them aware of your services. In the grogery field, most women are working it to get insurance for their family members. It would give you some paying clients, it'd probably save the health insurance money (I ended up with many dublicated tests etc - because I had awesome insurance that paid well. The union ended up paying for that. Also, I was over charged when Wylie had surgery. I caught the mix up. You could offer that service to go over billing, coordinating care/ tests results etc. - thus saving the insurance, or Medicare/ Medicare money. All insurance companies are into saving money - that should drum up some paying business for HAS, and make patients healthier by spending less time getting unnecessary tests, or getting appropriate after surgery care, etc.marketing, marketing, marketing!
I have a plaque on my wall:
Oh for the faith of a spider!
He begins his web without any thread!

It is so scarey to take that jump! It's been my experience that God usually has a better plan than we can imagine - because we limit our thinking to what we know of this world. God has no bountries and can see the BIG picture!
